Benefits to employers

Getting inVOLved - benefits to employers

We work with employers and charities to set up volunteering projects, with a focus on skill-sharing and sustainable relationships. We arrange introductions and provide ongoing support for both sides.

As academic studies from around the world have shown, creating or improving your employer supported volunteering programme is an extremely cost efficient way for employers to increase staff job satisfaction, build internal and external networks, contribute to high quality personnel recruitment, improve customer relationships and increase shareholder value.

With over 20 years of experience working with volunteers, we understand how to nurture your volunteering programme with a sensible approach that enables your staff to develop personal and professional skills while ensuring that community needs are genuinely addressed.

Whatever size your organisation, we can work with you to develop a volunteering programme that suits your business objectives and which can provide remarkable experiences and outcomes for everyone.

By becoming a partner you are supporting local charity

InVOLve is an initiative of Volunteer Centre Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES), a registered charity with a mission to ‘transform lives through volunteering'. InVOLve was launched at the beginning of 2013 with the support of the local authority (B&NES) and the University of Bath. In the longer term, investment by our employer partners will allow the inVOLve team to spend time with community partners to develop their employee volunteering opportunities.

By joining the network you are taking part in a wider collaborative effort, with the ethos of leading and learning together.

There are three short videos: the first considers reasons why employees might choose to volunteer and the potential benefits to their employer, the second considers factors which help support an effective volunteering experience, and the final one shows research undertaken in B&NES with the University of Bath.
