Can the Olympic experience help change the face of volunteering here in Bath?

31st January 2013 - Published Date

Everyone agrees that volunteers were essential for the 'smooth-running' Olympics of 2012. Up to 70,000 were recruited from a total of 250,000 applicants, mostly from within the highly diverse community of the London area. This shows that volunteering can be 'for all', regardless of employment status, health or ability. Diversity and inclusion are key to co-operation and success. Well now we need 500 volunteers, right here in Bath, to support the National Summer Special Olympics.
