Volunteers' Week (1-7 June) is the UK's annual celebration of the work which volunteers do. During the week, events are held across the country, to recognise, reward and recruit volunteers. Volunteering Overseas. There are many organisations that facilitate volunteering overseas. The time commitment involved can range from a few weeks to as much as a year.
