Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV) is when an employee’s volunteering is actively
supported by their employer and can take place during work hours, as opposed to in the volunteer’s personal time.
Launched in 2013, inVOLve Bath is an innovative ESV initiative, with ambition to gain a reputation for providing meaningful employee volunteering opportunities in Bath and the surrounding area.
The initiative provides an essential needs-led brokerage service for businesses who recognise the connection between the health of their business, their employees and the well-being of the community in which they are located.
Corporate Community Investment is all about how your company can share its resources with the wider community to make a positive difference. For example, your company could fundraise for charity or donate money or gifts in kind. However, the greatest resource your company has to share is the time and skills of your workforce, to directly benefit good causes. According to Volunteering England, 75% of FTSE 100 companies offer some kind of employee volunteering programme and the benefits of employee volunteering are widely acknowledged.
